BtVS - 2.12: Bad Eggs
Original Air Date: January 12, 1998
Writer: Marti Noxon
Director: David Greenwalt
Cordelia and Xander continue their love/hate romance! A cultural question: are closet like that common in a High School? We don't have those around here in areas students have easy access to lol
Another cultural question: is the egg raising thing real??? We also NEVER ever had to take care of an egg baby or a flour baby or anything like that in (sex ed????) class.
It’s so funny to me that the cowboy vampires are in an old vampire book, picture and all. Record keeping truly is an amazing thing.
Because we can’t have one (1) moment of peace in this universe, of course there’s something wrong and evil with Eggbert. I have very vague memories of being hesitant to eat eggs after this episode lol
Lyle and Tector are Dumb and Dumber, confirmed.
Is Buffy cradling an empty little basket when they’re at the library??? I can see Willow’s egg, but not hers lmao And hot damn was Xander super smart boiling his egg so it wouldn’t break.
(Is that Buffy’s egg on the shelf or a random egg?)
Aw, Buffy talking about having kids someday and Angel having to tell her he’s not able to because of vampirism. It also really hits me about Buffy saying she doesn’t think about the future because all she sees is Angel and all she wants is Angel. We can’t make a single person our entire life/universe! I also expected her to say something along the lines of: I don’t even know if I’ll be alive next week because I’m the Slayer.
I HATE the scene of that thing coming out of Eggbert. HATE IT. There is so much tension as well while it walks on its little creepy legs all over the room, YUCK. At least Buffy knows the eggs are evil now!
Oh no, it got Willow :( And Cordelia!
Giles saying he sometimes feels like he has children by working at the school: most relatable words to have ever come out of his mouth. All of my students do end up feeling like my kids and this is why I am happily childfree \o/
Yikes at Joyce calling having kids a “burden”.
I had absolutely no memory of Giles doing that to Joyce! A pleasant shock :D
I feel like so many things live underground in Sunnydale… so many evil beings, just waiting to do evil things…
Ha, like Buffy would ever get eaten like that! She’s so slimy, but there’s not one bit of goo in her hair.
I’d forgotten all about cowboy vampires, and to say their role here was underwhelming would be an understatement.
IT WAS A GAS LEAK, EVERYONE.
Oh my god, Joyce. THERE WAS A GAS LEAK. That’s more important than Buffy not being in the library! But Buffy does respect her rules.
I do like this episode all around despite the moments that creep or squick me out. It's a filler, but it works to entertain!

Buffy and the gang are introduced to parenting through a school assignment that takes a very rotten turn. Meanwhile, two wild west vampires come to town hunting for Buffy. At the same time, romance is in the air when Buffy and Angel continue to rendenzvous and Xander and Cordelia keep their liaison in the closet.Aaahh, the mall. So many memories. Of course Buffy finds a vampire to slay—a cowboy one at that! And outright tells her mom she’s saving the world from vampires. If only Joyce would open her eyes!!!
